It is best to avoid round style frames as these will exaggerate the roundness and curves of the face. Frames that lengthen the face are typically angular, narrow and are wider than they are deep. For round faces, frames that add length to the face often work best.

Round FaceДЄ round or full face is characterized by having the same width and length. Try frames that are round, deep, have low-triangle shapes, or that have strong vertical lines. Choose frames that have depth and a low bridge to shorten the nose. The ideal frames will shorten the face by creating a break in the length of the face.

Oblong FaceДЄlthough fairly similar to an oval shape, an oblong face is longer than it is wide. Often, diamond or rectangular shapes work best for oval shapes. Choose frames that are wide or wider than the broadest part of the face and that follow your brow line. Frames should complement the natural proportions of the oval. The forehead is slightly wider than the chin and cheekbones are high. The oval face is identifiable by its balanced proportions. Choose frames that are slightly curved (like an oval shape) and that have more horizontal than vertical real estate. Frames should be selected to make the face look longer and to soften the square angles of the face. The width and length of the face are close to being equal. There are workarounds-we were able to upload our captures to Minus and then save them to our computer-but that's obviously not how we'd prefer to do things. The program has no Help file to speak of, so we weren't able to take any troubleshooting steps. This is obviously a major problem for a screen-capture utility, and one that we're at a loss to explain. A search of our machine indicated that we hadn't inadvertently saved them to some obscure directory they had just vanished. We tried saving them as different file types and in different locations, but when we went to open them, they weren't there. Try as we might, we could not successfully save any of our screen captures.

Ostensibly, users can also save their captures as images, but that's where we ran into problems. Once the capture is done, users can annotate it, copy it to the clipboard, print it, or even share it on Minus, a file-sharing Web site. The scrolling feature is especially cool click on a long Web page that you want to capture, and DuckCapture will automatically scroll down and capture the entire thing. The program has a straightforward interface, with icons that users can click to select the region, window, full screen, or scrolling page that they want to capture. It works well for the most part but for us, it had one fatal flaw.

Unfortunately, DuckCapture wasn't all we had hoped. DuckCapture promised to be one of the better ones we've tried, and we were especially excited about checking out its autoscroll feature. We love screen-capture utilities, perhaps because they can be both incredibly useful and a lot of fun.
